Twin suicide attacks rocked the busy business capital Kampala on Tuesday morning leaving 6 dead and atleast 33 people fighting for their lives.
Police has confirmed that so far 3 civilians and 3 suicide attackers have died in the blast with 5 critically injured and admitted at Mulago Hospital.
According to Police Spokesperson, Fred Enanga, CCTV footage shows the the 3 bombers before they denoted themselves into flames at the Central Police Station(CPS) along Buganda Road and at Jubilee House and Raja Chambers along the Parliamentary Avenue in Kampala.
The first bomb at CPS went off at exactly 3 minutes past 10 o’clock on Tuesday, and another would go off 3 minutes later. The first attacker detonated self near the police entrance checkpoint.
The other two suicide attackers were seen riding on motorbikes to scene of the second blast, before detonating their bombs.
Police has confirmed that the attacks are a continuation to the Komamboga and Mpigi attacks that occurred last month which terrorist outfit ISIS claimed responsibility for.
Meanwhile, Police has cordoned off a certain home in Katooke 2 village in Nansana Municipality after picking up a bomb threat in the area. It is alleged that the assailants that abandoned the bomb, are connected to today’s attacks
