Arua Hill SC registered a 2-0 victory against Police in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League at Barifa Stadium, Arua on Saturday evening.
Arua Hills’ maiden chance came as early as the eighth minute through Gaddafi Wahab but his freekick went wide by inches.
In the 24th minute, Rashid Kawawa met a rebound in the box and placed the ball in the back of the net with a powerful bicycle kick.
Six minutes later, Samuel Kabuye doubled the lead with a quick header off Geriga Atendele’s chip in the cross.
Police FC tried to make a few attacks on the goal of Arua Hill through Frank Kalanda and Juma Balinya but the hosts stood strong at the back.
Arua Hill are placed fourth on the 16-teamed log with 28 points while Police FC lie 10th on the log with 16 points.
In their next fixtures, Arua Hill will travel to St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende to play Vipers SC on Saturday February 12 while Police will host UPDF on Thursday.
