Winning Against KCCA Will Be Great Motivation – Kiwanuka

Soltilo Bright Stars head coach Paul Kiwanuka says that his side winning against KCCA will be great motivation to the team as they try to fix the fallen blocks on the puzzle.

Soltilo Bright Stars will travel to the MTN Omondi Stadium as they play against KCCA in the Stanbic Uganda Cup on Friday February 25, 2022.

“Winning against KCCA will be a great motivation to my team,” Kiwanuka said in the press conference with Bright Stars media.

“We are looking for a winning mentality and achieving that will start by collecting a victory against KCCA as we lure the team to go forward,” the tactician added.

Reaching this stage, Bright Stars had to go past Free Stars FC in a 7-6 penalty victory after failing to get separated in normal time due to a goalless stalemate.

While KCCA registered a 2-1 narrow win against Busia United to reach the round of 32.

“Our preparations for the team have been so good, all players have been responding well to training and instructions to give their best so that we get the results needed.”

“The game means a lot to the team and me as a coach. Playing against KCCA is one game that all players yearn for. So it’s so important to see that the group executes what we have prepared to as to go to the next round,” he concluded.

The two sides have played each other 17 times. Among these KCCA has earned 10 victories while Bright Stars has managed only two. They have tied on five occasions.

The last time the two met was in the Star-Times Uganda Premier League and the two teams played to a one-all draw.
