BUL FC will be targeting a back to back win in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League when they square off against Bright Stars on Friday afternoon.
The Eastern Giants are looking forward to further strengthen their hold of the fourth position in the Uganda Premier League standings.
They head to Kavumba possessing a four-match unbeaten streak in all competitions with their latest league game being a 5-1 victory against UPDF FC.
According to assistant coach Baker Kasule, BUL’s main target is to maintain winning run ahead of Friday’s game.
“This one won’t be an easy game. BUL FC is in the top four and Bright Stars are in the last three positions on the table,” Kasule said before adding.
“Therefore, they are playing for survival but we also want to maintain our winning run.
This means they may bring a hard game to us but I believe we shall play our game to win.“
Meanwhile, second from the bottom-placed Bright Stars have won once in their last six league outings.
Goalkeeper Saidi Keni will miss this game after he sustained a knee injury against UPDF FC.
The fixture has also come too soon for Ibrahim Mugulusi while Lawrence Kasadha as well has joined them in the treatment room because of malaria.
Wingback Hillary Onek will be subjected to a late fitness test but the rest of the players are available for selection.
Meanwhile, the Eastern Giants haven’t won away from home in the league since the turn of the year, with the last victory coming against Tooro United on December 10, 2021.
