The Supreme Mufti of Uganda, Sheikh Muhammad Shaban Galabuzi has tasked the government to come up with a solution to address the soaring commodity prices in the country.
In Galabuzi’s Eid al-Fitr message delivered on Sunday, said it was time to deal with the crisis before it gets out of hand.
“The prices of commodities especially fuel make it very challenging for the economy to run,” the statement read
Galabuzi also thanked Allah (SWT) for delivering the country from the Corona Virus pandemic that had adverse effects on the economy. He said it was time to rebuild from the ruins of Covid-19.
The Mufti furthermore rallied Ugandans to continue portraying good behavior even after Ramadan to achieve peace and unity in the country.
