Ceasar Manzoki and Milton Karisa inspired the champions, Vipers SC who registered a 2-0 victory against Onduaraka FC at Greenlight Stadium, Arua on Tuesday.

With three to play, the venoms have continued to show their supremacy in the ongoing campaign after completing a rare double against Onduparaka.

Vipers brought to an end the six games unbeaten run of Onduparaka who had found a great run ochestrated by their captain Shaban Mohammad.

Bobosi Byaruhanga nearly gave the visitors the lead but Mathias Muwanga pulled quite an equal great save to keep matters aligned.

Denis Ojara tried to chip the ball beyond Vipers’ custodian Dennis Kiguddu who finger tipped it out for a corner kick.

A minute past half an hour mark, Muwanga was back to duty after palming away Bright Anukani’s well taken freekick.

Three minutes later, Manzoki climbed highest to node home Hillary Mukundane’s well weighed cross into the area.

After recess, Oliviera Robertinho’s side came back more speedy and hungry to extend their lead.

Three minutes into the second stanza, Karisa found Manzoki’s through ball before he unleashed a powerful strike to double the lead.

In the last 15 minutes of the encounter witnessed tense affairs and a scuffle which resulted into Shaban’s booking.

The victory takes Vipers SC to 67 points while Onduparaka sit eighth with 34 points after playing 34 games.

In the next fixture

Robertinho’s charges will travel to FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru to play against SC Villa on Saturday May 8, 2022.

While Onduparaka will be hosting neighbours Arua Hill SC in the West Nile Derby on Friday.
