Players in good shape to take on Ethiopia, says Lutalo

The Crested Cranes head coach George Lutalo said Tuesday the team is in good shape to face Ethiopia in the semifinals of the CECAFA Senior Women’s Football Championship.

During a press briefing, Lutalo said his charges have been having good training off the pitch which has refreshed their minds and put them in good shape to face off with the Ethiopians.

He also mentioned that those that are having injuries are to recover very soon including the captain whom he believes will be available for the game.

He further noted though Ethiopia is a good team but the girls managed to defeat the in the AWCON qualifiers and he believes that they have that same motivation to defeat them.

“Ethiopia is a good team but we managed to defeat it in the qualifiers for Afcon. We are motivated and we are ready for the game., he said.

He also added that Ugandans should expect a better game from the last one they had where they conceded and he believes they’ll put up a good display on the pitch and convert all the chances they get.

The semifinals will happen on Thursday 9th, June ,2022 where Ethiopia will take on Uganda at 1pm and Burundi will face off with Tanzania at 4pm at FUFA Technical center in Njeru.
