Rising Afrobeat sensation Charles Lubega alias Channo is flying high after putting two Ugandan top producers on his latest single dubbed kanyama.
Channo released his new song, kanyama 12 days back. Kanyama is a brain child of top beat makers Nessim and Herbert Skills.
The song is already collecting massive airplay both on radio and online streaming platforms, with thousands of plays already.
“It was an artistic dream come true,” Channo said delightfully. He furthermore said the chemistry during the recording was amazing and a lot of work was invested into the project.
“A lot of time goes into making good music, we had to find the right guitarist and the right samples, as well give the producers ample time to master the song right.” he said
However, he revealed that the video will have to wait since he is still pondering the best option. “I want to work with a videographer who will bring the story to life.” he said
The fast-rising afrobeat/zouk artist is responsible for popular love ballads such as Melody and Do and has received a positive reception from the industry over the years.
Channo told this publication that he will be considering collaborations with any artist worthy. “I want to work with any talented artist that fits or compliments my style, hopefully we can even consider outing an Album or EP,” he said
