In an encounter where both teams could qualify for the FUFA Big League, Kajjansi United FC locked horns with Lugazi United FC in a final decider of walks to the FUFA big league next season.
Having both convincingly topped Katonga and sezzibwa regional groups respectively including Kajjansi. fc’s unbeaten run , both teams hasd proved enough for acquiring qualification to the Big league.
The much anticipated epic finale came on Thursday at Kavumba recreational stadium.
The game kicked off with Kajjansi United in the seat of dominancy ,a great impressive style of play by midfielder Marvin Nyanzi who had come to prove something on the day.
However their dominancy was not of help as they failed to break through the Lugazi Fc backline 0-0 at the break.
In the second half ,the boys from Lugazi came back stronger after numerous substitutions by their head coach
The Lugazi based team delivered numerous attacks . Their efforts were paid off in the 72nd minute when Steven Tabu failed to Louis Anguti’s freekick .Lugazi fc getting the opener.
Lugazi FC managed to keep their lead up to the last becoming the sixth team to qualify for the FUFA big league joining the likes of Jinja north,Adjumani TC, northern gateway,Soroti United and Kaaro karungi.
Lugazi fc’s promotion was a great boast to one of the Ugandan football talent hubs(lugazi) a place that has recently produced different talents in football bit with no stadium.
The area has recently produced Fahad Aziz Bayo,Sadat Anaku,Nicholas Wadada,Abel Eturude among others .
