Entebbe ‘Serial Killer’ leads police to victim’s grave

The Flying Squad unit at Entebbe Police last week Thursday was led by a suspected serial killer to his victim’s grave.

A milk monger, Laurent Nkurunziza, 38, a resident of Bukolwa-Nkumba in Katabi Town Council, Wakiso District led Police to where he killed and buried his ‘lover’ Prossy Twinomujuni, 28, a resident of Kawafu cell.

Twinomujuni (now deceased) was reported missing by her spouse on 7th December last year. Her body was unearthed by her killer in a piggery farm. The body wrapped in plastic bags was retrieved from a shallow grave about 4 feet deep.

The inquest into her disappearance needed over 6 months until Police made a breakthrough following the arrest of Nkurunziza relying on the accounts of the locals who knew Twinomujuni. The remains were conveyed to City Mortuary.

According to a senior resident of the area, who preferred anonymity, Nkurunziza and Twinomujuni were involved in an extra marital affair for over a year. It is also alleged that the pair may have had misunderstandings leading to her murder.

The locals also revealed that Nkurunziza was a former convict and had served prison time in one of the country’s correctional facilities on murder related charges.

Nkurunziza is currently detained at Natete Police Station, waiting for the Directorate of Public Prosecutions to declare the charges preferred against him.

According to Police they are still in search for more evidence and burial sites of Nkurunziza’s victims.
