UFL: Vigour and courage will spur us against Kyambogo – Kabale’s Ahimbisibwe

As the Pepsi University Football League takes a final bend, all games are important in that each point lost detects much on who qualifies for the next stage or not.

It’s in the same spirit that Kabale’s striker Peter Marvin Ahimbisibwe notes that vigour and courage with see them collect maximum points against Kyambogo University.

Kyambogo will host western Uganda-based Kabale on Monday June 27 in the last game of Group C in the ongoing Universities’ tournament.

“Knowing that our opponent is not a walkover, more attention, vigour and courage will be required of us if we are to spur ahead of Kyambogo,” Ahimbisibwe told Gateway News.

“Now that the tournament is in it’s evening hours anything can happen so we take this as a do or die encounter and but we shall do all it takes to go out of the group,” he added.

“The coach has prepared the team well so we are ready for the challenge and we want to handle it carefully,”

According to the pacy forward, he yearns to do all it takes to push the team and that is by scoring more goals to ensure they bag all the points.

“It is always an honour to put on the University’s jersey to represent the big institution. I call upon the fans to back us so that we can put up a required show,” he hopefully concluded.

Ahibisibwe has had a fairly good run on the road managing two goals in three games, he will only be required to stretch the tally even further.

Kabale sits second on a three-team Group C log with only 4 points from three games played.

Having picked a point in a two all stalemate against Kyambogo they will come all guns blazing to pick maximum points and end the group on a high.
