Vipers SC and KCCA FC face tricky tasks as the Stanbic Uganda Cup hopefuls learnt who they will battle for a place in the quarter-finals.
The draw held Tuesday at FUFA Complex in Mengo featured 16 teams in the presence of FUFA’s third President Florence Nakiwala Kiyingi.
Kiyingi lauded the sponsors for sticking with this competition, indicating their arrival brought a big improvement.
In the draws conducted, Wakiso Giants will face rivals Vipers in the Wakiso derby, KCCA FC will be at home to Mbarara City FC while Soltilo Bright Stars will take on Kiyinda Boys.
This will be the third showing of the highly-sought Wakiso Derby, the fixture has delivered two draws in the Uganda Premier League this season.
In the other fixtures Police FC take on Ndejje University, Express FC will host Paidha Black Angels, Adjumani TC FC face Bunyaruguru while Calvary FC will be at home to Kitara FC.
The winner between BUL FC and SC Villa will visit Onduparaka FC.
The round of 16 fixtures will be played between 11th -17th March 2023. Every team at this stage is assured of a cash prize of UGX 3M.
