UPL: Villa Title Hopes Face Bright Stars Test

After taking the summit of the Startimes Uganda Premier League, SC Villa is confident that they can go all the way and win the 2022/23 title.

However on their way to success currently stands Bright Stars whom they will host at Kabaka Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku today.

SC Villa head coach Jackson Magera retains that they are taking a game at a time and are not faced with the pressure of the title.

“Yes the title talk is on and you expect this for a big club like Villa but we have chosen to handle each game at a time,” Magera revealed.

“We are currently not under pressure but that will eventually come as the league grows. It’s upon us to plan ahead and know what is needed,” he added.

Since the one-all draw against Gaddafi in the opening game of the second round, the Jogoo have gone all the way to win four in a row.

They have scored seven and conceded only three. A mark that ensured they take the log summit.

Finally back home

“We are finally back home. It gives us an added advantage because we shall no longer frequent in long journeys and also have our fans’ backing.”

After playing five games in Lira, Villa are back at their home and will love to continue with the positive run going forward.

The five-match penalty blocked fans from watching their home games and this game opens the gates for the blue vibe to be reignited.
