USA- Ugandan forward Edward Kizza bagged a brace for the Pittsburgh Riverhounds at home in a 4-1 victory over the Las Vegas Lights in the United Soccer League (USL) on Saturday.
Kizza put up an emphatic first-half performance scoring in the 21st minute and a second 10 minutes later.
The Ugandan completed a close-range finish when his teammate Langston Blackstock chipped in a cross from the left flank beating the Las Vegas custodian to set up him up for his first of the night.
Only 10 minutes later, Kizza rose high to meet a cross from Burke Fahling from the left wing. The striker fired a strong header to beat the opposition keeper to seal his brace.
The forward came close to a hat trick before halftime and in the second stanza of the game but his efforts didn’t yield.
His teammates Kenardo Forbes and Danny Rios scored two more goals in the second half to seal victory for the Hounds.
Kizza clinched the Man of the Match award for his brace. He completed six touches in the opponet’s box and completed 91.7% of his passes.
The forward has scored three times this season for his side.
