Adekunle in Uganda: Nigerian act promises to shutdown Lugogo

Adekunle Gold arrived in Kampala Friday morning and he later proceeded to IUEA (International University of East Africa) for a press conference and a “meet and greet” with the IUEA students.

Upon his arrival, the IUEA Vice Chancellor, Prof. Emeka, and students, welcomed the Nigerian star with a warm heart and gratitude.

“We are very happy to host you here today, welcome to Uganda!” Prof. Emeka said.

While addressing the press, Adekunle Gold called on the students to be resilient and believe in God if they want to succeed in life, not forgetting that “hardwork pays.” and he alsi went ahead and promised a massive show at Lugogo Cricket Oval tomorrow.

“Finally I’m here. Tomorrow is going to be a race. It’s going to be the best show you have ever seen.” He stated.

Adekunle went ahead and urged Ugandans to support their artists since that is the only way that African music can advance.

“I encourage you all to keep supporting first your artistes and then African artistes. Support Fik Fameica and the rest because that is the only way we are going to conquer the world,” he added.

Before Gold left, he was able to plant for the IUEA students a mango tree, which was immediately named by one of the students as the “AG Mango.”

Adekunle will be performing for the very first time in Uganda, at the 2022 Club Dome alongside South Africa’s Costa Titch, who arrived in Uganda since yesterday.

Other top Ugandan artists set to share the stage with him include Sheebah Karungi, John Blaq, Vinka, Daddy Andre, Kataleya and Kandle, Dimitri, and Bella.
