Afcon2023 Qualifiers: Cranes seek win against Algeria

After failing to qualify for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations finals, Uganda Cranes are desperate to reappear on the continent’s biggest football platform. Which calls for a good start at Algeria.

The cranes are to face the 2019 AFCON champions Algeria today knowing that a good result away from home will boast their qualification hopes .

The cranes though face an equally desperate Algeria whose pain for failure to fail to qualify from 2022 AFCON group stages is still alive and the sound of Cameroonians celebrating after defeating them to qualify to the Qatar 2022 world cup.

However the Algerian squad is missing out some of their notable players like Manchester city’s Riyadh Mahrez and 2019 star Baghdad Bounedjah .

His squad include seven uncapped players that have the chance to play their first game against Uganda.

On the side of Uganda reports says that muleme and Shaban are doubtful of tomorrow’s match.

Despite the absence of Mahrez, Algeria remains a star studded side with a lot of quality players that Cranes must deal with.

The cranes should watch out for 2019 MVP also AC Milan’s
Ismael Bennacer
and hitman Islam Slimani.

All questions will be answered tomorrow at 10:00 pm in Algeria when the two teams face off.
