Akiror opens her goal account for her new club

Uganda Crested cranes captain Tracy Jones Akiror netted her first goal for AFC Ann Arbor in the United States Women’s League (USWL) on Saturday .

Joining the United States based club early this year,the midfielder had not scored any goal for Arbor but she would bring this trend to an end when she converted from the spot after her teammate Angelina Kieh was taken down in the box.

Despite her team finishing in a two all draw with Indy Eleven women FC ,the Ugandan midfielder ended her goal drought.

The Crested cranes captain said after bagging her first that she is looking forward to scoring more goals to lead her team to Victory.

“I have opened up my account today and am looking forward to getting my name on the score sheet to help my team improve on the table as we want to be champions.” She said.

The 24 year old midfielder started her senior career at Kawempe Moslem ladies FC . However from here she joined Seminole state Trojans and Lindsey blue raiders colleges from where she crossed back to senior football at AFC Ann Arbor in the United States women’s league.
