Algeria switch venue ahead of clash with Uganda

Uganda Cranes first game of the 2023 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers against Algeria will played at the 5 July 1962 Stadium in Algeria’s capital Algiers not Oran as earlier communicated.

The match is slated for Saturday 4th June 2022 will open action for the Cranes in Group F where they are placed against Algeria, Niger and neighbours Tanzania.

This will be the first meeting between Uganda and the North African side since 1999.

According to FUFA, all players are in camp at Mouradi palace hotel in Tunisia. From here, the team will travel to Algiers for the clash with Algeria.

The cranes will host Niger on Wednesday 8th June 2022 at St. Mary’s Stadium Kitende outside Kampala.
