Blacks Power and Kyetume fired blanks as the two sides played to a goalless draw in the Startimes FUFA Big League at Aki Bua Stadium on Sunday.
Kyetume failed to level points with table leader since they came in the encounter with only three points separated from Blacks Power.
Blacks Power’s maiden chase came in the 10th minute, Paul Achile laid an inch taken cross in the area but Kyetume’s custodian Patrick Mubiru collected it from Micheal Siwu’s head.
Sharif Saka’s glancing header off Henry Orom’s cross went off the target to deny Kyetume the lead in the end to end encounter.
Baker Buyala held Emmanuel Obuma’s long ball before laying it for Saaka but the forward’s snapshot went above the woodwork by inches.
As the first stanza was edging, Blacks Power were awarded a freekick but Siwu’s we’ll taken effort was palmed away by Mubiru for a corner kick.
On the return after recess, Kyetume looked the hungrier side with an early attempt on goal from Ezra Bida’s long-range shot went begging.
Two minutes after an hour mark, Joel Jagayambe’s shot stung the woodwork after beating Kyetume’s Mubiru in what seemed to be Blacks Power’s best chance.
With ten minutes to play, Ali Mukiibi’s header off Siwu’s delivery went wide failing to place his side in the driving seat.
Kyetume replied through Saaka who beat his maker to pace but his resultant shot parried off the goal post.
The point will see Blacks Power remain at the helm of the log with 31 points while Kyetume dropped third at 27 points, one below Maroons FC who are second.
