CAF CL: Vipers Fly out without Ssentamu Duo

Vipers SC is set to play their last CAF Champions League Group game on Friday against Horoya. However they will miss the services of defensive midfielder Siraje Sentamu and forward Yunus Sentamu.

The 17-man squad departed on Wednesday early morning to Mali where Guinea out fit hosts its CAF games since they have no approved stadium by the organisers.

Sentamu’s void has been felt by Cromwell Rwothomio who has been out of the picture for some months, having last played for Vipers as he scored against BUL last year.

Livingston Mulondo and Siraje Sentamu who played for Uganda Cranes in AFCON Qualifiers, have not travelled. Milton Karisa, Marvin Youngman, Murushid Juuko and Yunus are still being attended to in the sick bay.

The Venoms seek for their first victory in the group after collecting two points in the previous five games played. However, they played a wounded buffalo that was humiliated in a 7-0 loss against Simba SC.

Vipers are sit bottom of the group log with two points. Raja Casablanca and Simba SC have already qualified from group F to the next stage.
