CECAFA Women: Nassuna Vows to write more history with Crested Cranes

Crested Cranes’ forward Hasifah Nassuna has vowed to write more history on National duty as the ladies take part in the CECAFA Women Championship.

Nassuna is the most decorated female football player in Uganda after going past a mark of 100 goals in the FUFA Women Super League in the most recent campaign.

The tournament will host eight nations at FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru starting from June 1st to 11th of 2022.

“Last season, I managed to achieve a mark of scoring 100 goals and this has greatly motivated me,” she told FUFA Media shortly after Monday’s training.

“I want to shift the same performance and write more history with the National team because I want to do all it takes to help the team win,” she added.

Nassuna is well aware of what is required from her as one of the most experienced players on the squad and she intends not to disappoint all her fans out there.

“I am one of the experienced players on the team and I promise all the fans to expect a great performance from me and the team at large.”

According to UCU Lady Cardinals, she called upon all players to work hard and put in a shift if they are to achieve their dreams in the upcoming tournament.

In 2016, Nassuna managed to clinch the top scorers’ gong after scoring six goals in the same tournament when Uganda last hosted it in Jinja.

Uganda is in Group A with Rwanda, Burundi and Djibouti.
