Matia Lwanga Bwanika, the Wakiso district chairperson advised leaders who have become of age, to groom and pave way for the youths. According to Matia Lwanga, elderly leaders ought to train the young generation how to manage societal challenges early enough before they pass away.
He sounded the call on weekend, while attending a thanksgiving ceremony organised by the leaders in Bwerenga cell, Katabi town council in Wakiso district. William Mirimu, the area councillor said, there was a need to organise a harmonisation meeting to iron out all discrepancies that could have sprout out during the 2021 campaigns and election period.
Stephen Sekigozi, the former MP aspirant who was the chief guest, lauded the area councillor for having thought it wise to convene a meeting aimed at togetherness and also interact with the electorate about the issues that affect the community.
He also advised him to work together with all people regardless of their political affiliation so as to overcome the area challenges.
