The Entebbe Division A leaders donated food and refreshments to the primary seven candidates in all primary schools in Entebbe Municipality. The donation included rice, cooking oil and sodas in terms of refreshments for the candidates on the two days of their primary leaving exams.
While handing over the donation to candidates, Scolastica Najjemba the Division A chairperson asked the pupils to remain confident saying, the exams are the same as those that they have been doing.
Najjemba also urged the young ones to not misbehave while in the long holiday after school.
“Over the past years we have been doing the same by offering such kind of donation to all the candidates within Entebbe municipality and motivating these young ones so as to perform well and rejoice together whenever the results are released,” she noted.
Robinah Nakamya the headteacher of Entebbe Changsha primary school with joy lauded the local leaders led by the Entebbe Division A chairperson for always considering the young generation especially those that can not afford good and healthy food in the two days of exams.
“We have 100 candidates ready to sit for their exams and therefore we are so grateful to our local leaders for their kindness through this donation which is a sign of motivation to our pupils and we hope for the best,” she stated.
The headteacher of St Joseph Katabi primary school Mary Josephine Namusisi remarked that one of the biggest challenges in schools especially the government-aided school is feeding because some parents fail to provide children with lunch which hinders the pupils’ performances.
Namusisi also noted that the school registered 103 pupils and that all are available and ready for the final papers on November 8-9 for their final primary school level exams.
Over 10 primary schools in Division A, Entebbe municipality including Namate Primary School, Lake Victoria Primary School, Changsha Primary School, Bugonga Boys, St Joseph Primary School, Air Force Primary School, and Nsamizi Army Primary School among others have benefited from this gesture.
