A total of 12 games are to be played across 4 grounds in Entebbe Sub-District as Entebbe U15 Junior League (EJL) returns on Sunday. Pro Soccer academy will play hosts to Waggagai Warriors in the 10AM opener at Nkumba Kataka play ground, Waggagai Warriors will play fourth placed St Padre Pio at midday and finally at 2PM St Padre Pio will try to distance themselves from 6th placed Pro Soccer Academy.
Meanwhile, table leaders Streamline Soccer Academy kick it off early at Kawuku Cardinal play groud against 7th placed Young Santos at 10AM, at midday Young Santos will take on Mutungo Soccer Academy who are yet to win a match. At 2PM Mutungo Soccer Academy will face with Streamline Soccer Academy.
Away from Kawuku, at Kennedy play ground, Taggy High take on 5th placed Panthers Soccer Academy in the opening match at 10AM, Panthers Soccer Academy will be looking for a stellar performance against bottom placed VT Soccer Academy who are yet to clinch a point in the league. Finally VT Soccer Academy will try to tackle Taggy High at 2pm.
Elsewhere, at Kanakambata play ground, Sports Academy Bulega will face the so far impressive Entebbe City Soccer Academy in the opener, Entebbe City Soccer Academy will then play hosts to Bulega Soccer Academy in their second of the day at 12 midday. Action will climax at Kanakambata with the Bulega derby, as Bulega Soccer Academy welcome Sports Academy Bulega.
Waggagai Warriors head coach, Bwogere Duncan Fimbo said he hopes to use matchday 3 to close the gap between them and leaders Streamline Soccer Academy who handed them their first loss of the season.
“My players have been able to recover from the initial struggles this season, and our recent games have gone on to prove that the team has grasped the tactics and developed cohesion, we hope to play better this sunday.” Bwogere noted
EJL board chairperson Ramathan Kasirye told Gateway News they hope the players are fully fit and ready to play on sunday. “We have been able to provide all the necessary support for the teams and we expect a good show, we are confident that matchday 3 will run smoothly for the players and fans of the beautiful game,” Kasirye said
“The League has been designed in a way that enables proper healing for players before the next matchday and I hope there will be no injury worries from the different camps.” Kasirye said when asked about the intensity of the League.
