Entebbe Parents wins Uganda South Korea Friendship Association Sports Gala

Entebbe Parents Secondary School merged first in the Senior Secondary Schools soccer games that were held at Kiwafu playground in Entebbe.

These were awarded with a trophy followed by gold medals in an event that was organized by Entebbe Division B in partnership with the South Korean embassy in Uganda.

While handing over a trophy to the winners, Richard Ssekyondo the Entebbe Division B chairperson appreciated His Excellency the Ambassador of the Republic of South Korea for the great support to young talents through sports as well as other donations to the society including; two tents, sanitizer, liquid soap, temperature guns, and water tanks during Covid 19 Epidemic.

“These items were given to different schools and Entebbe International Airport, a donation of textbooks and teacher guide books for candidates in seven secondary schools including; Entebbe Comprehensive Secondary School, Entebbe Parents S.S and Merryland High School among others,” he said.

However, in addition, Ssekyondo highlighted that the Entebbe Division “B” community has many talents that need more support mainly in football, netball, boxing, and performing arts, whereby they are ready to continue collaborating with the Government of South Korea to make it a model Division with a self-sustainable community.

As he was concluding, the Entebbe Division B boss appreciated the South Korean embassy, organizing committee members, students, and residents of Entebbe for taking part in the sports gala that aimed at unveiling and developing young talents.

In his speech, Seung Hi-Yi the Deputy Ambassador of the Republic of South Korea pledged to continue supporting the Division’s program in a way to improve the community’s status.

“I have been so impressed with the players today, the passion, talent, and respect for each other are so amazing,” he added.

The Uganda South Korea Friendship Association Chairman’s sports gala was participated by four secondary schools in Entebbe.

Entebbe Parents Secondary School in the first position with 5 points was followed by Comprehensive Secondary School with 4 points and zero goals, Promise High School with 4 points and negative goals, and Air Force S.S.S in the fourth position with only 3 points from one win.
