NEC FC registered a 3-1 victory against Kaaro Karungi in a FUFA Big League at Coffee Grounds, Bugolobi on Thursday.
Tonny Kiberu, Julius Walugembe, and Geoffrey Sserunkuma scored for NEC while Ian Amanya earned Kaaro Karungi’s consolation.
Kiberu opened the account in the 10th minute giving them an edge at the break.
Shortly after the long break, Walugembe converted from the spot to extend the lead.
Kaaro Karungi found consolation through Amanya as they tried to pull something out of the clash.
Sserukuma got his name on the scoring sheet at the last minute to compound Karo Karungi’s misery.
The result took NEC to the third position on the log with 44 points while Kaaro Karungi are 10 with 29 points.
Elsewhere, log leaders Kitara FC were held by Ndejje University in a four-goal thriller at the Arena of Visions, Luwero.
Moses Sseruyidde got Kitara off the mark before Norman Ndyamuhaki levelled matters, Agondeze Edson restored Kitara’s lead before Brian Obedi squared it at the death.
