FUFA president Hon. Moses Hassim Magogo has stressed it that FUFA Drum is a great platform to promote sports tourism in the country.
While addressing the press today at FUFA house, Mengo, Magogo stated that the FUFA Drum provides implores many of the football fans to move across the country appreciating and learning the different cultures across.
“It is another opportunity to promote the tourism of the country by exploring the different cultures from the areas where these games are being played,” he stated
According to the FUFA President, during the course of this tournament, there will be a number of engagements to make sure that sports tourism is promoted so as to tap into the economy world directly.
On another hand, he also noted that the tournament is a stage for natives and dwellers to celebrate athletes coming from their respective areas.
“This is the moment when people where we come from are able to celebrate athletes coming from their respective areas.” he added.
The exciting tournament is set to return after two years and will see the birth of the women’s version.
The mens version will start between 30th and 31st July and will be played in a knockout format unlike the previous format where teams were pitted in four groups .
While the women’s format will be played at FUFA technical center in Njeru with eight teams fighting for the gong.
