FWSL: Kampala Queens Share Points With Resilient She Corporates

She Corporates bounced from a goal down twice to share points with Kampala Queens in a 2-2 stalemate in the FUFA Women Super League at IUIU on Saturday.

Kampala Queens took the lead through midfielder Resty Nanziri who perfectly tapped home Margaret Kunihira’s cornerback.

Minutes later, Phionah Nabbumba levelled matters through a powerful freekick that beat Kampala Queens custodian Prima Mugide who stretched but couldn’t reach the ball.

She Corporates later commanded possession hitting the woodwork thrice but where unlucky not to convert hence keeping the game levelled.

Four minutes past half the hour, Zainah Nandede nodded Shamirah Nalugya’s inch perfect cross to reclaim Kampala Queen’s lead in the tight contest.

In the second half, both sides reduced the pace as Kampala Queens preferred safety of their narrow lead.

Defender Lukiya Namubiru fouled Grace Nassongo in an aerial scuffle and She Corporates were awarded a freekick steps away from the box.

Nabbumba stepped up to take the set piece but her effort was palmed away by goalkeeper Mugidde to clear the mess.

Kampala Queens made the first change pulling off Damali Matama for Lillian Mutuuzo.

Eight minutes to the end of the game, She Corporates Naome Nagadya found the back of the net with a powerful rebound to level it for the second time.

She Corporates nearly took the lead after Namubiru missed the clearance but Susan Atim’s final deliverance was far from expected.

At the final whistle both sides shared spoils in a game that left the both sides yearning for more action.
