FWSL: Nalugya Calls For Patience After Loss To Kawempe

Kampala Queen’s midfielder Shamirah Nalugya called for patience among her teammates and the fans at large after opening the campaign with a loss.

Kampala Queens suffered a 0-2 loss to Kawempe Muslim in the FUFA Women Super League at IUIU playground, Kabojja.

“In soccer, you have to expect a win, draw or loss and this hardly came our way but we need to remain calm and composed,” Nalugya told the press shortly after the encounter.

Sharon Nalugya’s brace was enough to ensure that Ayub Khalifa’s charges picked maximum points from the end to end game of football.

“We are so disappointed and gutted because we hardly got what we expected but I am sure the coaches managed to highlight we’re we fell short of the needful,“ she strongly added.

“We are going to rest and later prepare ourselves so the we manage to get what is desired in our next game,“ she concluded.

In the same faith and spirit, Kampala Queens head coach Hamuza Lutalo called for patience as he added that it will take some time for him to fully settle and ensure the girls play his philosophy.

“We want to see these girls play good and beautiful football. I have to make sure that I add something to them but that will or can not be achieved in one day,” he revealed.

According to Lutalo, this will require sometime as he duly understands his charges to allow him plan and set a strategic plan to achieve the team’s set goal.

Kampala Queen will travel to Fort Portal for their next game as they lock horns with Tooro Queens while Kawempe Muslim will play She Corprates at MUBs playground.

Both games to be played on Sunday February 13, 2022.
