UCU Lady Cardinals FC staged a perfect start with a triumph 5-0 victory against reigning Champions Lady Doves FC in the game played at UCU Grounds in Mukono.
Hasifa Nassuna scored for the home side to register her third goal this season in as many games and currently leads the scoring charts.
Harriet Muwugumya, Sandra Kisakye, Asiat Nalugwa and Shadia Nankya scored UCU’s other goals on the day.
UCU is now on the top of the log with nine points, two ahead of She Corporate FC who were held by Rines SS WFC in a barren stalemate.
Elsewhere, Kampala Queens picked their first win of the season by edging past She Maroons in Luzira thanks to Margaret Kunihira’s solitary goal.
Kampala Queens lost to Kawempe Muslim in their opening game and held a goalless stalemate against Tooro Queens last weekend.
Meanwhile, Tooro Queens picked their third draw in their opening three games of the season after squaring with Kawempe Muslim in a 1-1draw.
Imelda Kasemire placed Fort Portal outfit in the driving seat but Kawempe Muslim bounced back through agile Hadijah Nandago.
In another game, Uganda Martyrs WFC came from behind to cruise past Olila High School WFC.
Grace Aluka started the scoring run before substitutes in Esther Naluyimba and Brenda Munyana sealed the three points for Lubaga’s side.
The league returns next weekend.
Olila High School WFC will host She Maroons in Soroti, Kampala Queens lock horns with Uganda Martyrs High School WFC while She Corporate FC play troubled Lady Doves FC.
UCU Lady Cardinals travel to Fort Portal at the home of FC Tooro Queens while Kawempe Muslim Ladies contest against Rines SS WFC.
