Government to recruit 3000 Teachers to enhance Education

The state minister for finance responsible for general duties recently announced the government’s plan to hire 3,000 teachers nationwide to address staffing gaps and enhance the quality of education.

Minister Henry Musasizi, who also serves as the Member of Parliament for Rubanda East constituency and the NRM party chairman for Rubanda district, made the revelation during a fundraising ceremony for the construction of a Shs300m computer laboratory at St Agatha Girls’ Secondary School in Hamurwa Town Council, Rubanda District.

Musasizi who pledged to secure Shs500m for infrastructure development at the school, also donated an instant shs15m to support the construction of the computer laboratory.

He however, did not divulge as and when the recruitment exercise was to kick off, neither did he state whether the teachers will be for primary or secondary school level.

Accompanied by Rubanda District LCV chairman Stephen Kasyaba, the minister cautioned NRM party members in their area against being swayed, emphasizing their commitment to supporting President Museveni in the 2026 presidential election.

Expressing gratitude, Kakore Catholic Parish priest Fr Herbert Agaba thanked President Museveni for entrusting Musasizi with the ministerial position and urged voters to continue supporting the incumbent Ugandan leader.

In another generous contribution, Rubanda West MP Moses Kamuntu donated 200 bags of cement for the construction of the computer laboratory at St Agatha Girls Secondary School.
