Kiggundu raring to go after overcoming injury nightmare

Express FC wing back Arthur Kiggundu is full of enthusiasm to keep playing for his club after overcoming an injury nightmare that kept him aside for some time.

The 26 year old has been out of action for close to three months nursing a troublesome groin injury.

However, he finally made a comeback in the 2-2 draw against KCCA FC and according to him, it’s been a rough journey to recovery but he’s glad it’s in the past now.

“It’s been rough, I have a thick skin but this hit me hard because it kept recurring each time I thought I’d healed however the most important thing now is that I am back in the team and I only have to give my best,” Kiggundu said before adding.

I also want to thank the medical team because they did their best to get me back on their feet,” he added.

Kiggundu’s Express will play Gadaffi FC away on Tuesday on match day 20 of the StarTimes Uganda Premier League as the search for maiden victory under interim coach James Odoch continues.
