A 28-year-old man has been arrested by the police in Kole district for allegedly killing his wife and cousin brother in his own home on Monday 14th, November 2018.
Moses Ongom, a resident of Beiko village, Opeta parish, Aboke Sub-County in Kole District is being held for the murder of his wife, Connie Adong, 23 and his cousin brother, Ambrose Okwir, 25.
It is alleged that the couple (now deceased) was having an intimate affair behind Ongom’s back. The pair was at the suspect’s home on Monday night before midnight, when he found them in bed together.
It is alleged that Ongom stabbed both of them multiple times, killing them instantly.
A case of murder has been registered at Kole Central Police Station, and Scenes of Crime Officers have since visited the crime scene to collect forensic evidence and photographs.
The murder weapon (a knife) was recovered and submitted for analysis. Both bodies have been conveyed to Lira Regional Referral Hospital’s mortuary pending postmortem, while the suspect is in police custody at Kole CPS.
