A man reportedly collapsed and died in his car on Sunday afternoon at Kyebando in Kampala.
The deceased identified as Godfrey Kamugisa Mwesigwa was the supervisor in charge of animal production under the Directorate of Gender of Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA).
According to Kampala Metropolitan Police deputy spokesperson, Luke Owoyesigyire the deceased died at around 2:30pm.
“Kanyanya Police Station has today at around 2:30 pm registered a case of the sudden death of Dr Godfrey Kamugisa Mwesigwa, a veterinary doctor attached to Kyanja KCCA farm. The incident took place opposite Akamwesi Shopping Mall gate. When our Police teams responded, the deceased was found seated in his vehicle and unresponsive,” Owoyesigyire said.
He noted that he was rushed to Mulago Hospital where he was confirmed dead and the body was conveyed to the city mortuary in Mulago by the Police team.
“The cause of death is currently unknown. We awaitthefindingsby the pathologists. More details will be availed as soon as possible,” Owoyesigyire said.
KCCA is yet to comment on the matter.
