Masaza Cup 2021: Busiro, Kyaggwe earn wins on Bulange opening day

Despite being a man less, Busiro earned a 2-1 win against Bugerere on the first day of Bulange group at FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru

Eight minutes into the game, Herbert Kibirango placed his name on the scoresheet with a low shot that kissed the inside of the right pole and got into the net.

Moments later, Ronald Kaye was fouled on the run going into the deadly area which led to Busiro’s penalty.

Robert Ssentongo converted from 12 yards on the second try after canceling the first take due to an offside.

Hudson Mbalire later scored a consolation from the box ark to regain hope for Bugerere in a mouthwatering encounter.

Busiro FC was reduced to ten players after Samir Mudiba was sent off the field of play after a gruesome challenge.

In the second encounter of the day, Kyaggwe bagged a 1-0 win against hard-working Buvuma in the Masaza Cup at Njeru.

Gerald Ogwetti’s second-half penalty gave Kyaggwe maximum points in a game that had fewer points of clinical action.

Bulange group will return to action on today, December 10, 2021, as Buvuma play against Bugerere at noon while Kyaggwe faces Busiro at 4 pm.
