Micho dropped as Cranes coach

Multiple reports indicate Uganda Cranes head coach, Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojević has been asked to step down from his role.

According to several news outlets the Serbian tactician is just waiting for FUFA to clear all his arrears before heading home.

Micho will be leaving the Cranes barely a year since he made a return to manage the national side on a 3 year deal.

Speculations of his departure started circulating last after Uganda’s game against Niger where a local newspaper reported an incident in the dressing room where the FUFA president directly told the Serbian man “beat Tanzania or head home” after the cranes had Lost to Algeria 2-0 and recklessly drawing with Niger at Kitende.

However the Serbian was even given an opportunity to defeat Tanzania which the cranes will face in a double header in September.

However few days later multiple sources started claiming that FUFA was in contact with former Ugandan coach sabastian Desabre .

Multiple reports reveal that sabastian Desabre who is currently coaching french league two side Charmois Niortais is the favorite to replace Micho as Uganda’s head coach.

During his stay at the cranes the Frenchman was commended for his style of play which many believe was the reason why the cranes made it to the AFCON round of 16 only to be knocked out by a more superior Senegal.
