Minister Jeje Odongo happy for growing Uganda-Indonesia relations

The minister of foreign affairs, Gen. Haji Abubakhar Jeje Odongo has hailed the cordial bilateral relations between Uganda and Indonesia.

The minister revealed this during a meeting with the Indonesian Ambassador to Uganda, H.E .Dr.Mohamad Henry Saripudin at the Uganda National Chambers of commerce in Kampala.

One year since his ascension to Ambassadorial duties in the country, H.E .Dr.Mohamad Henry Saripudin has been pivotal in delivering Indonesian market to Uganda.

On arrival last year, the Ambassador urged the East African country to take advantage of Indonesia’s huge market citing population density in the south Asian country.

With a whooping 270 million people, Indonesia is the fourth most populous country in the world. The country is also a member of the Association of the southeast Asian Nations- ASEAN whose population totals to 600 million people.

The discussion today is expected to bolster business ties between the two countries and help Uganda tap into the south Asian market.
