Museveni appoints Sixteen High Court Judges

President Yoweri Museveni has appointed 16 acting judges of the High court into the Judiciary service for a period of two years.

According to a statement released on May 25th 2022 by the Judicial Service Commission, the appointments are due to the commission’s ongoing recruitment exercise of Judicial officers at different levels.

This is Museveni’s record appointment of judges at any level, nine female and seven male judges were assigned in three departments  that is MDA, Private practice and judiciary. 

The female judges are  HW Ikit Mary, Hw Matovu Nassuna Flavia, HW. Susan Kanyange, Patricia Kahingi Asiimwe, Christine Kaahwa, Patricia Mutesi, Bukirwa Faridah Shamilah, Magala Harriet Grace and Nagawa cella.

The male Judges are HW Singiza Karekona Douglas,HW Samuel Emokor,Namanya Bernard,Ocaya Thomas Ojele Rubanga, Okello George,Acelam Collins and Nsiimye Allan Paul Mbabazi.

The judicial service Commission further stated that this appointment will enhance the high court to excellently work on all cases and tackle backlog.
