In celebration of Women’s Month, Uganda Baati, under its Safal Circles initiative, has hosted an inspiring Ladies Elevate session featuring Susan Nsibirwa, Managing Director Nation Media Group.
The session, designed to empower and uplift women in the corporate world, focused on career growth strategies, leadership and personal development.
Speaking to the attendees, Nsibirwa emphasized the importance of women taking charge of their growth and creating opportunities for themselves.
“I encourage every woman to take charge of their personal growth. The same energy that you put in growing the company is the same energy you should put in growing your career. You have to be deliberate, and push for the recognition you deserve,” she stated passionately.
She encouraged the ladies to “network strategically, build resilience, and never be afraid to take up leadership spaces.”

The Uganda Baati Ladies Elevate event was part of the company’s wider pledge to nurturing an inclusive and empowering work environment. George Arodi, the Business Head at Uganda Baati, highlighted the company’s dedication to gender inclusion.
“Women are taking up spaces not because it’s handed to them on a silver platter but because they deserve it. At Uganda Baati, we recognize that women have the ability to lead and we have given them the platform. Through creating a link between women in leadership like Susan and the ladies at Uganda Baati we know that our women will benefit from a session like this,” he remarked.
Lilian Nammuli, the Manager Retail at Uganda Baati expressed how impactful the session was.
“Sometimes, as women, we doubt ourselves, but from listening to Susan today, I know we are all capable. Some of the key takeaways for me are the power of networking, knowing our passions and interests and aligning them to our career goals, and the importance of having a clear career goal,” she said.
The session concluded with an engaging networking cocktail at the Uganda Baati Lounge, allowing the ladies to interact, share experiences, and build meaningful connections. Uganda Baati continues to empower women, ensuring they are equipped with the tools and confidence to excel in their careers.
