New Prefects Sworn in at Horizon Kids Centre

Horizon Kids Centre has a new prefectorial body after the swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected leaders held this month at the school campus at Mpala, Katabi Town Council in Wakiso district.

The oath-taking ceremony was presided over by city lawyer and former East African Legislator Fred Mukasa Mbidde who lauded the school for instilling values of democratic leadership into their students.

Mbidde urged the newly elected leaders to adhere to the code of conduct and school rules in order to set a good example for their fellow students.

He furthermore advised the young leaders to serve diligently and develop as leaders since it is a calling from God.

“Our country needs to start grooming new leaders from such a young age, we should help them understand that leadership is not a job but service. We need to promote values that stimulate patriotism amid the raging corruption and disappointments by politicians,” he said.

The School proprietor and Director, Mariam Kyeyune revealed that providing a holistic education is a top priority for them as an institution.

“If we are to produce all-round future citizens of the world, it is upon us to identify their skills and talents and water them in order to blossom and bear fruit,” Kyeyune remarked.
