The parish Priest of St. Andrew’s Buhumba Archdeconary Rev. Herbert Nisiima has urged Parents to educate and support their children in school in order to have a fruitful future life.
Nisiima says education is one of the most valuable tools a parent can give to his child, but some parents have denied their children a right to education by not taking them to school.
He said this while launching the Buhumba Cultural Village Chapu landing site on the shores of Lake Bunyonyi in Kashenyi village Katenga parish, Kamugaguzi sub-county Kabale district on Saturday.
Nisiima further said that if parents fulfill their duty, the community shall have a responsible young generation and generations to come because education is a good foundation for children.
The managing director Buhumba Cultural Village Chapu landing site, Tushabeomwe Johnson also known as Boaz a professional medical worker said that the mission of his landing site is to promote the culture of the people and teach women how can one earn money in local materials like mates, baskets and many others.
Boaz narrated that culture enhances quality of life and increases overall well-being for both individuals and communities which promotes good morals to the community.
He requested the Buhumba residents to use their advantage of Cultural Village Chapu landing site to earn a living for their families.
