One passenger was wounded after a car veered off the road and fell into a ditch early Sunday morning at Kitubulu along the Entebbe-Kampala Express Highway.
According to the area police, the driver of the car, a Toyota Hilux Pick up registration number UBB 969B and another occupant were unharmed.
Preliminary investigations suggest the driver may have dozed off while driving.
The injured occupant has been rushed to Entebbe Regional Referral Hospital for first aid and further management. The truck has been retrieved from the ditch and taken to Entebbe Police Station.
According to bystanders, the speeding car veered off the wet road and landed into the ditch.
The scene of the accident has registered several other crashes over recent years.
Traffic police has mounted investigations to ascertain the cause of the accident.
