Hundreds of runners in Entebbe Municipality and Katabi Town Council took part in the Airtel Kabaka Birthday Run on Sunday.
The runners joined over 150,000 runners across the country that took part in the event to mark the 68th Birthday of the Kabaka of Buganda, His Majesty Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II.
Runners in the Entebbe area were led by Busiro Ssaza Chief, Ssebwana Charles Kiberu Kisiriza and Entebbe Municipality Deputy Mayor, Charles Kabwama.
The early downpour provided cool temperatures that proved perfect for the early morning run.
The Ssaza Chief lauded residents for turning up in large numbers and urged them to continue supporting the Kingdom’s programs.
Entebbe Municipality’s Kabwama rallied his constituents to stay alert and fight the spread of HIV/AIDS in the country.
