Police has confirmed that no lives were lost after an accident occurred at Nabyewanga in Lwera along the Masaka- Kampala Highway on Friday morning.
Police has revealed that only three people sustained injuries after a crash involving two vehicles, a Bus belonging to Global Coaches registration number UAX 283A from Kampala en route to Mbarara and a Mitsubishi Canter lorry registration number UBJ 648J heading to Kampala.
Eye witness told police that in the process of giving way to the lorry which was trying to overtake, the bus swerved off the road and overturned.
According to the statement released by the Traffic and Road Safety Directorate of Police, the lorry has been impounded and it’s driver was arrested for reckless driving.
However, Police is yet to reveal the identity of the driver and no further details have been shared so far.
