Police issues traffic advisory ahead of the Kabaka birthday Run

Following the road traffic advisory issued by Police earlier on Friday ahead of this year’s edition of the Kabaka Birthday Run.

Kampala Metropolitan Traffic Police commander, Rogers Nsereko advised all participants intending to come to the Palace with vehicles to secure their parking in good time but not in the roads surrounding the Palace.

Nsereko furthermore revealed that only VIP and authorized automobiles will allowed to access parking inside the palace via the gate facing Ndeeba, and will utilize Lubiri High School playground and the green space at the back of the palace.

He also assured revelers that safety of their vehicles will highly be manned by officers of the Uganda Police Force.

At this event kabaka Anjagala Road has been designated as the main exit for all runners of 5km, 10km and 21km, respectively and the road will be temporarily blocked.

The Run powered by telecom giant Airtel will be see a return of masses to the Kabaka’s palace after a two year COVID-19 hiatus forced scientific runs in 2020 and 2022.

The proceeds of the run will be directed towards fighting the HIV/AIDS scourge especially amongst young girls.
