KABALE- Police in Kabale are investigating circumstances surrounding the death of an unidentified male adult who was found decomposing in a sack in River Rwabakazi.
According to the Kigezi Regional Police Spokesperson, ASP Elly Maate, the body of the deceased was found tied in the sack. Police speculates the deceased was murdered months back.
Maate narrated that the deceased body was found floating on top of River Rwabakazi on Saturday 5th of November,2022 at around 01:30pm.
Maate told journalists that Tumwesigire wilbroad the LCI chairperson Omwibare cell, Rushaki ward, Southern division Kabale municipality reportered the information at Mwanjari police post
A team of detectives led by the DSGT Mutungi visited the scene of crime together with fire and rescue police personnel, and taken to Kabale referral hospital for postmortem.
Maate requested the public that anyone missing any of the relative from home, should visit the hospital mortuary so that he may be identified and taken for burial while investigation underway Inquiries
The case of suspected murder was registered at Kabale Central Police station under reference number SD REF; 41/05/11/2022.
