Ugandan Vocalist and President Museveni’s Senior Presidential Advisor on Kampala, Catherine Kusasira has returned to school.
The songstress joined Nkumba University to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Diplomacy, a course meant to keep her in a reading mode for close to three years.
A happy Catherine Kusasira took it to her face book handle to announce her pursuit. “Yesterday was my first day at Nkumba University, Some of us never got a chance to good education at the young ages but I pray these three years go on smoothly for me, I’m pursuing a degree in BAIRD,” reads part of her post.
“I thank God for this opportunity and pray for blessings through this journey that I have started,” she added.
The ‘kola ya Taxi’ singer made revelations in 2019 that she would be retiring from active music to join politics towards her then ‘Tears of a Woman’ concert.
She shares mutual friendship with President Museveni who cordially addresses her as his granddaughter.
The Musician was appointed presidential advisor on Kampala Affairs in October 2019, a position that jolted her relationship with a section of her funs ending 2019 as one of the music industry’s most hated musicians.
Days after her appointment, Kusasira was involved in supremacy wrangles with NRM leaders in Kampala. While the NRM party leadership in Kampala thought Kusasira is supposed to work under their guidance, the musician scoffed at them vehemently reminding them of her Supreme capacity as a senior presidential advisor.
With her academic resumption, many believe she is preparing her self for something bigger relating it it to Geoffrey Lutaaya’s return to school that propelled him to parliament.
Kusasira attended Dynamic SS and then later joined St. Balikuddembe SS Mitala Maria for her A’level, grounds on which she acquired her admission at Nkumba University.
