Regional Women’s League: Tagy back to winning ways against Fairway

After a thrilling defeat, Tagy high was desperate for redemption in a game that took place at katabi football grounds in Entebbe against fairway high school.

Tagy had already thrashed Fairway 3-0 in their own backyard in the reverse fixture last month.

Despite Tagy’s redemption despair the visitors proved not to be Tagy’s red carpet to walk over at the beginning of the game.

Tagy seemed as if they had not yet recovered from the 9-1 thrashing by St Noa, Fairway proved to be a hard nut to crack as they disabled Tagy’s goal poachers in the first half finishing the first half 0-0.

However in the second half Tagy seemed to have recovered and back on their footing and broke the deadlock through none else but Kamiyat Naigaga.

The goal poacher seemed to have enjoyed putting the ball behind the net and she added the second few minutes later making it 2-0 for Tagy.

Zaitun Namaganda closed the day by adding the third the hosts too strong for the visitors.

Tagy collected three clean points as Naigaga Kamiyat went on 16 goals in this season.

Tagy will again play on Tuesday when they travel to Bugema University to battle with Bugema University women FC.
