Uganda Premier League side SC Villa continues to witness a massive exodus of players and Salim Abdallah is the latest to be nearing a move away from the record 16 times UPL champions.
Abdallah will join the list of players such as Martin Senkooto, Ali Bayo, Amir Kakomo and Benson Muhindo who have since exited the historical club.
The talented midfielder joined the junior setup of SC Villa in 2017 where he spent a year before being graduated into the senior side thanks to the splendid performance.
In 2019, the former Standard High Mixed student was handed a three-year contract which will come to an end in August 2022.
“We have had talks with the club but less is being agreed which makes my stay hard or impossible,” Salim told Gateway news.
“I have enjoyed all the time with this mighty club because they gave me a chance when no one had seen me on the big stage and I will forever be grateful.”
“For all the different coaches that have groomed me, a few words can explain how much I am honoured and thankful,” he added.
According to Salim his best moment at the club was the day he came off the bench to score a brace against Wakiso Giants who were leading 2-0.
“My best game was the day I scored a brace coming off the bench and managed to scoop a golden point for my club when everyone (fans and teammates) had lost hope.”
Talking about the worst game, Salim picked out the Stanbic Uganda Cup quarterfinals when they lost to 10-man BUL having wasted numerous chances.
A close source to the player has informed this website that Salim’s signature is being poached and KCCA as well as URA are leading the lure.
It only remains a point of time to tell what will be Salim’s next home after leaving SC Villa.
