Security Guard injures Two in a shoot out at Petrol station

Nickson Onwang 49years, a security guard attached to SGA security company shot one Henry Buwembo Kasule at Kitala Stabex petro station along Entebbe road in Katabi town council, Wakiso district.

According to eyewitnesses, Onwang fired three bullets, one of which (stray bullet) hit another victim identified as Charles Mukooza 22years, a businessman operating near the petrol station.

It is alleged that Onwang got confronted by Buwembo on Sunday morning at around 10a.m while regulating parking at the petrol station. “During the confrontation, Buwembo allegedly assaulted the suspect who was prompted to first make a warning shot and later shot at Buwembo on the right thigh.

It’s also alleged that during  the shooting  incident, is when another stray bullet also hit Mukooza on the right shoulder hence sustaining  injuries,” a police officer privy to investigation narrated.

The security guard was thereafter whisked away by the police, saving him from the charged mob and taken to Entebbe police station. Mukooza was taken to a nearby clinic for first aid while Buwembo was rushed to Entebbe referral hospital to have the bullet removed.

A case of attempted murder was opened up againsts Onwang vide EBB CRB 530/23 as the police retrieves footage from the closed circuit cameras of the petrol station.

A gun SMG rifle number UG PSO 320102305654 was recovered with three rounds and exhibited pending submission for analysis.
